The National Institute for Social Media (NISM) is excited to announce their first Social Media Strategist (SMS) certification prep course offered in a blended format in El Paso, Texas starting this month.

Crysti has been an NISM Certified Social Media Strategist since 2016 and works with Barracuda Public Relations and a variety of freelance clients. She is also an avid photographer and video content creator.

The online portion of the course will begin on Monday, October 29^th, 2018 will live on-ground courses happening Friday mornings from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in Downtown El Paso. The course runs for 6 weeks and covers the six content domain areas addressed by the SMS exam.

As an introductory course in this region, NISM is offering this course for a discounted rate, but space is limited.  The plan is to offer additional blended courses in the El Paso area in 2019.

The NISM Social Media Strategist certification program validates the foundational skills required of professionals using social media. To achieve certification as a Social Media Strategist, participants complete the coursework and are required to pass a certification exam covering the six primary content domains of general practitioners in social media: strategic planning; compliance and governance; project management; social media marketing; community management; and research and analysis. Certified professionals have demonstrated at least minimum levels of comprehension and mastery of essential social media best practices, and are able to apply them on the job with a marginal level of supervision.
