As an institute that believes firmly in life-long education, we are excited to introduce you to our summer social media intern, Celeste Russell.  Celeste was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to Minnesota to pursue a degree in Acting and Communications at St. Mary’s University. When she finishes her degree, Celeste “hopes to find a job that allows me to continue to expand on my communications skills while fostering my love for the arts”.

While completing her internship with NISM, Celeste will be utilizing her skills in communications to assist in content creation, social media marketing, email marketing, newsletter creation, and more.  She will also work closely with the NISM leadership team and learn best practices for remote work and project management.

When we asked Celeste what she was looking forward to most, she said, “I am thrilled to join the NISM team as an intern because I am eager to collect as much hands-on work experience as possible and learn from excellent mentors who already are working in my intended field. During the course of my internship, I hope to gain a better grasp of the analytics that go into marketing as well as optimizes the consumer’s experience with more engaging content. As I move into the real world after graduation, I know the skills I learn this summer will prove useful as more and more people turn to social media for business information”.

Celeste is a talented young professional who is eager to learn a wide variety of marketing and communications techniques. In the two short weeks that she has been on board, she has enthusiastically approached the learning curve and is not afraid to dive in and work hard.

Fun fact: in addition to her crazy good acting abilities, we have learned that she happens to be excellent with a hula-hoop.

Feel free to connect with Celeste at [email protected] or on LinkedIn.  She is eager to meet other business professionals in communications or the arts.
