The National Institute for Social Media (NISM) is proud to announce its newest authorized training partner – Kaplan College. Kaplan College will now offer the Social Media Strategist (SMS) certification training course. More course details can be found below.
The first class starts Monday, January 19, 2015. This unique training experience not only provides intense preparation to earn a valuable certification credential, it will also put students on the forefront of modern marketers with real-world instruction taught by an NISM-certified trainer and social media strategist.

To achieve certification as a Social Media Strategist, students complete 34 hours of intense coursework delivered through a blended format with most of the content presented online. Students are required to pass a certification exam covering the six primary content domains of general practitioners in social media: strategic planning; compliance and governance; project management; social media marketing; community management; and research and analysis.
Participants who pass the exam will become certified, and are able to apply for jobs featuring social media as a key component of their job responsibilities.

Class schedule:
This is a hybrid class (60% online – 40% live) beginning on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 (Online). Students will meet live, on-site at the Nashville campus on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (Central). After the first live session students will continue their online activities and will meet on campus every Saturday at the same time until Saturday, February 14, 2015.
