Looking for a Social Media Manager to join the Brand Social Media Team in a temporary role to cover a parental leave absence. The role will help the social media publishing strategy for audience cluster profiles and priority programming. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Social Media Manager with a track record of optimizing social media publishing in a way that uses data and performance metrics effectively. The person in this role will collaborate closely with internal teams (Originals Marketing, Multicultural Marketing, Media Relations, Legal, Programming, etc.) and within the Brand Social team to plan and launch campaigns from start to finish. The ideal candidate is an internet native who has a pulse on digital trends and emerging platforms, with an expertise in optimizing content for maximum reach across social channels. Experience managing social strategy for a major media company/DTC streaming service is a plus. You will be working with an award-winning social media team responsible for campaigns and other high-profile media campaigns.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
• Manage a team of coordinators to effectively and strategically publish content across social platforms, with impeccable attention to detail, grammar, etc.
• Oversee content calendars for multiple social profiles across platforms.
• Work with the Director and Senior Managers to maintain and evolve publishing strategy across social platforms
• Build organic social promotion strategies for priority titles, campaigns, cultural moments and more, specific to target audiences and respective platforms.
• Work with the Editorial team and Originals Marketing to develop social media content plans for audience cluster profiles.
• Document social strategies and rollout plans to share with leadership.
• Engage with the Max audiences across brand and cluster accounts and identify opportunities for cross-pollination of community management tactics.
• Collaborate with social teams within the broader WBD portfolio to align on broader campaigns that span across brands.
• Own engagement/growth goals for campaign performance and content reach.
• Use insights and data to inform strategies around content mix, post timing, partnership opportunities, talent collabs and more.
• Identify creative opportunities to leverage talent to create moments that will excite and engage our fans and subscribers.
• Pitch innovative ideas for expanding social promotions across new and emerging platforms.
• Review and approve all social assets including video clips, photos, post copy, etc. for accuracy, grammar, tone, etc.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Internal and External Communication Experience
a. Experience communicating with stakeholders, internal and external clients, agency partners, talent teams, executives, etc.
2) Attention to detail (grammar and documentation)
a. Experience with flawless writing and publishing of Social Media content on a major brand handle – including error free copywriting and asset quality control.
3) Strategy Documentation
a. Experience creating strategy briefs including optimizing the distribution of Social Media assets.

1) Proven track record of driving social strategy based on performance insights.

5) Ability to prioritize the support needs for various content and brand initiatives from a range of internal and external stakeholders.
6) Impeccable communication skills with keen attention to detail.
7) Ability to thrive in an ever-changing digital environment and flexibility to adapt quickly.
8) Familiarity with internet trends, lingo and nuances of communicating online.

1) B/A or equivalent experience
