The Role

In this role, you will assist the social and community team in  crafting engaging social media content and building a thriving community of users. You will work closely with senior team members to effectively promote the Stocktwits brand and engage with our target audience.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the social and community team in the creation and publishing of engaging, high-quality content across various social media platforms to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement and increase the follower base.
  • Monitor social media channels, assist in responding to comments and messages, and engage with the audience to foster positive relationships, address inquiries, and communicate user feedback to internal teams.
  • Complete social website changes and regular updates through the company’s content management platform.
  • Drive user engagement by welcoming new members, regularly joining conversations and promoting strong user generated content.
  • Assist in representing Stocktwits externally with the promotion and execution of in-person and virtual events.
  • Research, build, and manage relationships with influencers and financial media personalities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You’ll Need

  • 2-3+ years of professional social media marketing or online community management experience.
  • Interest in financial services and an understanding of what resonates with the Stocktwits community.
  • Desire to creatively engage and grow an existing organic community.
  • Experience creating social media content with the ability to adapt the tone to different platforms and audiences.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms in social media and communications.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on innovation and a bias toward action.
  • Proactive and excited to jump in and help wherever needed.
  • Team player; Comfortable asking for help when needed.
  • Organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to balance numerous projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, particularly in building relationships and working collaboratively both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills (grammar & syntax).
  • Willing to join meetings or take calls outside of normal business hour

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise.
