Responsibilities may include

Content Planning and Strategy: Create a content calendar and strategy that aligns with the interests of the target audience and supports the overarching objectives of the company’s brand or project.

Research and Development: Conduct thorough research to gather accurate information and insights that will inform the content, ensuring it is relevant and valuable to the audience.

Content Creation: Create diverse content formats, including articles, videos, graphics, and podcasts, while ensuring a consistent voice and style that aligns with the audience’s preferences.

Engagement and Community Management: Engage with the audience through comments, messages, and social media platforms to cultivate a community, solicit feedback, and strengthen relationships.

Analytics and Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of content through analytics tools to assess engagement, reach, and effectiveness, and use this data to refine future content strategies.

 

Qualifications:

Experience in Content Creation and Strategy: Experience in developing and strategizing content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and press releases, particularly within a nonprofit environment, is preferred.

Exceptional Writing and Storytelling Skills: demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including donors, volunteers, and media outlets, with a strong focus on finding and telling impactful stories.

Media Relations and Press Release Experience: Experienced in writing and distributing press releases, creating press kits, and coordinating media outreach to secure coverage that amplifies the nonprofit’s message.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong aptitude for leveraging technology in content creation and distribution.

SEO and Digital Marketing Knowledge: Proficient in applying SEO principles to content creation, along with a solid understanding of digital marketing strategies to enhance content visibility and engagement across multiple channels.

Collaborative and Team-Oriented: Experienced in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as fundraising, communications, and program staff, to ensure content aligns with organizational goals and in managing content creators like writers, designers, and freelancers.
