RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for supporting our digital communications efforts across our corporate social media accounts, corporate and brand websites, and various online platforms. The person who fills this role will be a key member of the corporate communications team and will assist in social media management, content development and website management, ensuring our online presence is engaging, up-to-date and optimized. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Content Development: Develop and manage editorial calendars for corporate and SPAM® Museum social media accounts. Create and optimize to improve search visibility and audience engagement. Create, coordinate the creation of and/or execute social media content as needed.
- Social Media Management: Manage and monitor corporate and SPAM® Museum social media accounts. Schedule and post content, engage with the online communities, and track performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media strategies.
- Social Listening: Support social listening efforts to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and issues as they arise. Provide insights and recommendations based on social listening data.
- Copywriting: Write and edit copy for web and social media platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice with an eye to search engines and generative AI search.
- Website Management: Execute website content changes, ensuring content is current and aligns with brand standards.
- Reporting and Analytics: Analyze and report on social media performance using various tools and metrics. Identify opportunities for improvement based on data and analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging and brand-consistent copy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and stay up-to-date on new tools, technologies and industry trends and an ability to quickly adapt to changes.
- Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms and basic graphic design tools. Basic knowledge of SEO and GEO best practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with video editing tools. Basic knowledge of video best practices is beneficial.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range & Benefits:
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $59,000 – $82,600 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
