The Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) is a non-profit certification board (located in Schaumburg, IL, USA) that administers the Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and the Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management credential programs.

CBDCE is seeking candidates in the Chicagoland area only!  The position will primarily be remote, but occasionally, the employee must be able to work in the office in Schaumburg, IL.

Hours: A maximum of 20 hours per week. The hours can be worked during the day or evening, and the schedule is flexible. This position is part-time only.

Seeking a part-time social media & marketing associate to work with and support the organization’s strategic goals. This is an exciting position in the evolving world of social media. This individual ensures that messages, content, and social engagement are relevant to the target audiences and the CBDCE brand objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and a strong understanding of leveraging various platforms to engage audiences, promote our brand, and drive traffic to our website. This role requires creativity, analytical skills, and technical proficiency in social media management tools.

Job Highlights

You will assist the marketing manager with marketing functions, including—but not limited to—social media content writing/creation, scheduling, influencer marketing, analyzing/reviewing data, video creation/script writing/editing, creating podcasts, managing social media paid campaigns, SEO strategies, and other marketing support duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Minimum of an Associate degree or current or past college coursework emphasizing marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, or business administration preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Working with a membership or certification organization preferred.

· Thorough knowledge of all social media platforms, video/podcast creation/editing.

· Experience with paid advertising creation and outcome tracking.

· Experience creating content and graphics for social media using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.

· Experience with email marketing platforms.

· Experience with customer relationship management/membership platforms and simple website update/maintenance preferred.

· Strong written & verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, ability to take the initiative, work independently on multiple projects, and meet various deadlines.

· Strong general work-related technology skills, including MS Office Suite Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email marketing platforms, CMS, websites, and digital tools for remote work, e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.

CBDCE will supply a business laptop for remote work. The role may require minimal out-of-state travel per year for tradeshows (3-5 days). The company will pay travel expenses.
