Responsbilities
- Assists with marketing research activities
- Assists in coordination of development and implementation of the Firm’s marketing, advertising and media relations activities including seminars, Centers of Influence (COI) functions, and other special events
- Designs, formats and updates all collateral materials, including, but not limited to, ads, bios, presentations, flyers and brochures, external communications, etc. and ensures they are in line with firm branding guidelines
- Participates and promotes Firm initiatives such as Marketing Awards Program, Rainmakers and other Firm committees and activities
- Documents, tracks, maintains and reports employee submissions for company marketing awards program on a monthly basis; plan and coordinate bi-annual marketing team trips
- Expands, maintains, and updates client, prospect, COI and other marketing-related databases
- Acts as assistant editor for all firm-generated newsletters – publishing articles, optimizing for SEO, preparing the email in Constant Contact and sending out to clients, prospects, COIs and other database contacts
- Assists in the coordination of direct mailings and e-communications such as newsletters, events, notices, news/press releases and client service information for the firm’s various service areas (niches)
- Generates and distributes stat reports on marketing campaigns such as social media posts, newsletters, event facilitations, etc.
- New hire onboarding – Provides marketing orientation and welcome materials to all newly-hired employees, orders business cards, nametags, drafts bios, etc.
- Coordinates trade show exhibits, coordinates details for Mercadien-hosted events (food, room set-up, materials, etc.) and promotes events via various channels such as newsletters, LinkedIn, company website, etc.
- Assists with coordination of any in-person marketing events
- Updates & maintains firm website LinkedIn page
- Assists in editing and formatting PowerPoint presentations for events and prepares marketing materials needed for events
- Coordinates internal marketing lunch and learns
- Prepares & distributes event follow-up materials
- Coordinates professional headshots for staff on a semi-annual basis
- Orders promotional products as needed
- Prepares the Quarterly Staff Meeting presentation & present on Marketing Awards Results every quarter
- Prepares & distributes New Business Report on a monthly basis
- Participate in niche marketing meetings & take minutes
- Updates & maintains the Marketing team’s project management system
- Plans & drafts social media posts & maintains schedule of posts
- Assists other departments outside of Marketing with any graphic design or other marketing-related requests
- Handles all marketing-related onboarding & offboarding items for associates
- Works with Marketing Manager and niche leaders to plan, draft and execute various digital marketing campaigns
- Communicates with external organizations and vendors as needed
- Maintains hard copy and electronic files for the department
- Completes ad hoc projects to be assigned by the Marketing Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
- Must possess above average computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Experience in HubSpot, Constant Contact, Canva a plus
- Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format. A strong command of the English Language and grammar is necessary
- Must be available to work professional hours between 9am and 5pm, and additional hours as needed to meet deadlines
