As Social Media Manager, you lead the vision, planning, and execution of organic social media strategies for MKR’s clients. More than just managing posts, you architect how brands show up on social media—writing platform-specific copy, crafting creative content, and using insights to drive meaningful engagement. You blend creative intuition with analytical thinking and have the skills to independently bring strategies to life across video, copy, and content planning.
- Lead the development of organic social strategies that align with broader marketing goals and deliver results for a variety of client industries
- Create and maintain content calendars, ensuring all messaging is on-brand, timely, and platform-appropriate
- Write, edit, and optimize copy for a range of social platforms with an emphasis on clarity, tone, and engagement
- Understand the wide range of AI tools and be comfortable testing and implementing them as needed to optimize content creation and audience engagement.
- Produce and edit short-form video content (e.g., Reels, TikToks) to meet the increasing demand for video-first storytelling
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Creative, Paid Media, and Strategy—to ensure an integrated approach across all channels
- Manage day-to-day publishing and social engagement, bringing community management best practices and brand voice consistency
- Monitor trends and social platform updates, proactively applying learnings to strategy and execution
- Track KPIs and use analytics tools to evaluate performance, making data-driven recommendations to optimize content and improve ROI
- Assist in thought leadership and mentoring within the agency to elevate MKR’s social media discipline
- Demonstrate curiosity, excellence, AND leadership.
- Encourage a positive, harmonious attitude among agency executives and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience managing and strategizing social media for brands (agency experience preferred)
- Expert-level understanding of platform best practices, social trends, and digital storytelling
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone to various brands
- Experience with short-form video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Natively in Instagram)
- Familiarity with social media tools like Sprout Social or Hootsuite
- Strategic thinker with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously
- Bonus: understanding of paid social, SEO, or influencer partnerships
