FlexStaff is hiring a Social Medial Specialist for our client, located in the Stony Brook area of Long Island, for approximately a 6 month temporary assignment. Slated to begin mid November, and run through mid May, we are seeking only those candidates who are able to commit to this 6 month time frame. This is a 100% onsite position from Monday-Friday and the hours are from 8:30am-5:00pm:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and engage with the online community, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Shoot, edit, and publish posts on flagship social media accounts based on instructions from the Sr. Manager.
  • Maintain an organized asset library with commonly requested content, such as photos of our mascot and evergreen videos for use as Instagram story backgrounds, accessible to the team and campus partners.
  • Conduct research on social media trends and audience preferences to inform content approach.
  • Update project management platform (Monday.com) with progress.
  • Assist the Sr. Manager in developing and implementing plans for major events and initiatives, including creating toolkits , preparing shot lists for events, and coordinating schedules with professional staff.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn) and analytics tools.
  • Strong photography and video editing skills.Employer-provided

    Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Base salary
$25/hr
