The Role
We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our growing marketing team. This role is key to shaping our voice online, engaging with our community of industry leaders, and helping us grow awareness in a space that’s ripe for innovation. You’ll take the lead on planning, creating, and managing content across our social media channels, with a focus on LinkedIn and emerging platforms relevant to our B2B audience.
This role will start as a part-time, contract position as we evaluate current and future needs.
What You’ll Do
- Work with the VP of Digital Marketing and our strategy and design team members to develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with brand goals and marketing campaigns
- Create and coordinate original content (copy, images, short-form video) that educates, engages, and inspires our audience
- Manage and grow our presence on LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, and other relevant platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to amplify customer stories, product updates, thought leadership, and events
- Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize content and report on growth and engagement
- Stay on top of social media trends, tools, and best practices in B2B tech and edtech industries
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant experience managing social media in a B2B or SaaS environment
- Strong understanding of the nuances of each platform, especially LinkedIn
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a knack for turning technical topics into engaging content
- An eye for design and ability to direct creative execution
- Comfortable with basic design and editing tools (eg, Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut) and content management platforms (HubSpot preferred)
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
- Bonus points if you’re a bit of a nerd for certifications, upskilling, or the future of work
